To get on the Thinkwalks mailing list, just let me know (by email, or the reply form below*) which of these you’d prefer:
→ One Thinkwalks email per 3 – 6 months
→ One every month or two (default)
→ One per tour (3x/month)
I will never give, trade or sell your info, and you can leave the list any time without trouble from my thugs.
*If you subscribe using the comment/reply form below, your email address will go only to me, not on the public part of this site. When someone subscribes that way, I just take it as a subscribe and don’t approve it for public viewing. —Joel
To keep up-to-date on the Thinkwalks blog, you’ll want to either subscribe to the RSS feed in your usual RSS reader, or to get the posts by email.
To subscribe to the RSS feed, click here:
Blog RSS feed
Alternately, you can go to the Blog page, click on the RSS icon at the top of your browser window. (It looks like this, though it could also be orange or another color:
) Then, choose an option for your RSS feed. (Here is a great explanation of how to use RSS to subscribe.) RSS also allows you to make a bookmark system that lists all the new posts as they come in. Most RSS users prefer a system that gets away from bookmarks. But, if you still like using bookmarks, create a browser “live bookmark” that lists all the new Thinkwalks blog entries as they arrive. You’ll still have to remember to check the bookmark, though.

I’ve lived here a lifetime, and this is new, interesting, and I’m thinking of going on the Feb.5th hidden springs walk. I’m curious – why not follow the water’s path and start at the top of the hill and flow down? (I live in Ashbury Heights!)
I would be really interested in a tour of the rock types in the city, including all the semi-precious rocks and stones – jade, carnelian, agate, quartz. Right under our feet! I’m a prof. dog walker and after years of picking up poop, I started to actually look at the ground – and found treasure!
Keep up the good work,
Cosi
it is not often i walk in this city without thinking about sometimg i’ve learned from joel and thinkwalks. thank you.
